A book compilation of the photos taken by architectural photographer, Takeshi Yamagishi over eight years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, mainly in the Tohoku region. Each design element was determined to make it an objective ‘record’ as much as possible. The size of the book corresponds to a 4x5 photography format when it is opened as a spread. The rhythm of the layout overlaps with the structure made by the relevance of the photographs. The photographs are arranged in chronological order. Captions that show the shooting date and place are inserted after the photographs by year. The aim was to design the whole as a collection of photographs.
